More than 50 people interested in adopting seized Round Rock Chihuahuas after KXAN story runs

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Ten of the 13 Chihuahuas seized from a Round Rock home last week were adopted over the weekend, authorities said.

When the Austin Humane Society opened up on Saturday, some 50 people were waiting in line to rescue them after seeing coverage of the story on KXAN, said Amanda Ryan-Smith, director of development and marketing at AHS.

Toys are desperately needed right now-there are so many kittens, puppies coming in and TLAC is out of toys for these little ones.

Best kinds of toys are small washable non-catnip filled toys for the kitties.

Same goes for the puppies, and since we get ALL sizes of puppies, all sizes are welcome-but they must be washable.

And of course we're always in need of tennis balls, and safe chew toys for the adult dogs.
